The French group is taking an international turn, and that is when Laurent Dusollier decided to enter the group’s capital. A sign of confidence in the group’s future.
Just four years after taking the position of the CEO at Groupe Odalys, Laurent Dussollier has entered into the capital of the Groupe with 8.5% stake, alongside its majority shareholder, Groupe Duval, and Groupe Hywin.
This investment in the capital stack is a sign of solid commitment, durability and solidity to pursue the transformation and development strategy begun by Laurent Dussollier and his teams within the Groupe Odalys. The strategy is being applied to the group’s historical activities and territories and also to new segments and trades (business and student residences, and conciergerie…) and new geographies. This transformation is already bearing its fruits, and is accompanied by many opportunities that will make it possible to further consolidate the Group’s future and growth.
Laurent DUSOLLIER, CEO Groupe Odalys, remarked:
A key partner for local associations and economic life, the Groupe Odalys progressively shifted from its status of host to multi-trade actor. In the many destinations where the Groupe is present, today we are at once host and building management company through our subsidiary SGIT Gestion that provides support to 19,000 co-owner clients, concierge services provider for owners who rent their apartment through online booking platforms thanks to our new brand La Conciergerie by Odalys, designer-builder-installer of residential spaces, real estate promoter and even real estate agency for certain destinations. Groupe Odalys actively contributes to keeping beds full wherever it goes and bringing the destination to life.
In addition to diversifying its services, the group has diversified its products with the brands Odalys City, Odalys Plein Air and Odalys Campus. To this may be added the beginning of international development with The opening of an Odalys Campus slated in Seville (Spain) then in Lisbon and Porto (Portugal) by 2025, the group plans 30 openings on the Old Continent.
The Odalys City brand will also be gradually established in Africa in Douala (Cameroun), with an opening slated for 2022. Four other openings are already in the pipeline (Yaoundé, Abidjan, Dakar and Kigali) and several others are under study. The group will also be established in China with Odalys Vacances for 500 apartments that will open in 2023 west of Shanghai. The complex will be established at the heart of a new tourist destination.
It is thus within this momentum that Laurent Dusollier felt the time was right to enter into the capital of the group, which he had joined in 2015 as CEO. Taking a stake of 8.5% alongside Groupe Duval, the majority shareholder, and the Chinese group Hywin. Laurent Dusollier took over the capital of investor founder François Mariette.
