The 4-star InterCityHotel Enschede is open for business and ready to welcome guests from all over the world to Holland’s eleventh largest city.
Steigenberger launches InterCityHotel in the Netherlands. The InterCityHotel Enschede is situated next to the city's main railway station. It offers 126 rooms as well as a restaurant and Bistro Lounge. Project development was by Van Wijnen Holding N.V., one of the leading property development companies in the Netherlands.
Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG, stated: "The opening of the first InterCityHotel in the Netherlands means that this Steigenberger subsidiary now has a presence in three European countries. Expansion is also continuing at an international level. We will be opening the first InterCityHotel in Qingdao, China, before the end of the year, and further properties are planned for 2016 in Dubai and 2017 in Rotterdam."
On January 1, 2014, Steigenberger was the 48th largest hotel group worldwide according to the ranking produced each year by MKG Hospitality, the hospitality consulting firm founded by Georges Panayotis. At that time it had a network of 84 hotels and 15,760 rooms worldwide. (read our report)
