InterContinental Hotels Group accelerates its development in Turkey through its brand Holiday Inn. The hotel group announced the signature of agreements to develop three new properties in the destination: Holiday Inn Ankara Cukurambar, Holiday Inn Istanbul Tuzla Bay and Holiday Inn Istanbul Kadikoy.
The Holiday Inn Ankara Cukurambar, with 140 rooms, will open in the second quarter of 2014. It will be followed by the Holiday Inn Istanbul Kadikoy, a new construction with 127 rooms, during the same year, then the Holiday Inn Istanbul Tuzla Bay which is scheduled for 2016, once construction of the 140 -room building is complete. The three properties will be operated through franchise contracts signed with different partners.
The network of the InterContinental group in Turkey currently has 10 properties, three of which are under the Holiday Inn brand in Istanbul. The chain has a portfolio of 282 hotels in Europe, and 35 additional properties under development that are scheduled to open over the next three to five years.
