
InterContinental Hotel Group will develop 46 hotels in Eastern Europe over the next 3 to 5 years. The group will be primarily driven by its brand Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express.
- Hotel Indigo Old Town, Cracow (56 rooms) which opened this month.
- Holiday Inn Dabrowa Gornicza (160 rooms) in Poland, opened on last August.
- Staybridge Suites Baku (160 rooms) in Azerbaijan should soon open its doors.
- Holiday Inn Plovdiv (67 rooms) in Bulgaria will open on October.

As of January 2016, IHG ranked 3rd hotel group worldwide in terms of number of rooms according to data published by Hospitality ON. At the time, its portfolio included 5,032 hotels totaling 744,368 rooms worldwide.
