InterContinental Hotels Group strengthens portfolio in Bangkok with the brand Hotel Indigo. The new hotel has 192 rooms.
Bangkok welcomes its first Hotel Indigo, the InterContinental Hotels Group brand positioned in the boutique segment. This is the 62nd Hotel Indigo property worldwide and the first in Thailand.
Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road has 192 rooms with private balconies, spa inspired bathrooms, high-speed Wifi... the hotel's open air infinity edge pool and deck provide unparalleled views of the city. There is also a restaurant, Metro on Wireless, and a cocktail bar called 22 Steps. (A third restaurant/bar will open by the end of the year).
After Thailand, another Hotel Indigo will open next year in Singapore. On January 1, 2015, InterContinental Hotels Group was the second biggest European hotel group in terms of number of rooms with 90,160 units in 589 properties according to MKG Hospitality, consulting firm founded by Georges Panayotis. (Read our report). On January 1, 2014, InterContinental Hotels Group was the first worldwide hotel group in terms of number of rooms with 686,873 units in 4,697 properties.
