The US hotelier signs a new property in Bodrum, near the Aegean Sea. Operated under the Hyatt Centric brand, it should open its doors by mid-2019.
Located on Turkey's west coast, by the Aegean Sea, Bodrum will welcome its first Hyatt-branded property: the Hyatt Centric Yalikavak Bodrum is set to open by mid-2019. It will feature 77 rooms, five F&B outlets, a spa, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, as well as more than 500 square meters of conference and events space.
The U.S. hotelier's lifestyle brand, launched in 2015, relies on this upcoming opening to durably settle on the European continent. As Peter Norman, senior VP, Acquisition & Development, Europe, Africa, Middle-East and South West Asia for Hyatt, highlights: "Today's announcement allows us to build upon the momentum of the Hyatt Centric brand in Europe."
Through the signing of this new property, Hyatt develops its Turkish portfolio, which already includes the Park Hyatt Istanbul – Macka Palas, Grand Hyatt Istanbul, Hyatt Regency Istanbul Ataköy, Hyatt Centric Levent Istanbul, as well as Hyatt House Gebze, set to open in September 2017. As of January 1, 2017, Hyatt Hotels Corporation is the 12th hotel group worldwide, with 663 properties and 173,534 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
