
Hub by Premier Inn, the first hotel brand to enable its guests to control all the different aspects of their stay through an application, should quickly grow its portfolio to 6,500 rooms in the United Kingdom.
Already established in London, in a property located at Covent Garden, the new concept was developed rapidly. Whitbread is aiming for a portfolio of 6,500 rooms in the United Kingdom by 2018. For now, these hotels will be opening soon in London (Tower Bridge, Brick Lane) and Edinburgh (Royal Mile, Rose Street). Nine other locations are also in the new brand's pipeline.
As of January 1, 2015, Whitbread with the fifth European group in terms of number of room according to the ranking produced each year by MKG Hospitality, hospitality consulting firm founded by Georges Panayotis. At the time it had 701 hotels for 57,615 rooms (read our report).The goal of the hotel group is to reach 75,000 rooms by 2018, or 11% of the British global supply.
