InterContinental Hotel Group continues to grow in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and announces the opening of three additional Holiday Inn Express hotels.
Just one month after announcing two Holiday Inn hotels in the United Kingdom (read our article) InterContinental Hotels Group continues the same with Holiday Inn Express. The hotel group has signed three franchise contracts to open the
Holiday Inn Express Grimsby, Holiday Inn Express Dublin City Center and Holiday Inn Express Middlesbrough Centre Square hotels. Holiday Inn Express Grimsby should open its doors in 2015 with 80 rooms. Holiday Inn Express Dublin City Centre and Holiday Inn Express Middlesbrough, meanwhile, will open in 2016, with 198 and 138 rooms respectively.
Holiday Inn Express is growing rapidly, at an average rate of two hotel openings per week. The IHG economy brand currently has a portfolio of 2,260 properties worldwide.
