The American hotel group Hilton Worldwide settles for the first time in the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London with the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton branded hotel.
The DoubleTree by Hilton London Greenwich is located in a 1940s building in the iconic Royal Borough of Greenwich near Queen's House (Historic World Heritage Site), the Royal Observatory, the Royal Naval College and the Cutty Sark. The hotel is also close to Greenwich Park and London city center.
In addition to its 147 rooms, the hotel will offer its guests a restaurant, a bar, two meetings rooms (with a capacity of 70 people) and a fitness center.
The DoubleTree portfolio currently includes more than 40 hotels operated in the United Kingdom. In January 2016, Hilton Worldwide was the second largest hotel operator in terms of numbers of rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON. Its portfolio included 4,565 hotels in operation for a total of 751,350 rooms.
