As the American group celebrates its 100th anniversary, CEO and president Chris Nassetta has announced more openings on the luxury segment in 2019 than in any previous year, and thirty more to come. These new properties will open under the brands Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts.

11 properties will have opened on the luxury segment by the end of 2019. This wave of openings will continue until 2025 with 25 new properties on this segment after this years openings. In its press release, the American firm highlights 10 years of preparations to develop this reputedly strategic pipeline.

"After more than a decade of honing Hilton’s distinct luxury offerings and investing in key markets around the globe, we are embarking upon a very exciting phase for the category," declared Martin Rinck, executive vice president and global head, Luxury & Lifestyle Group, Hilton.

In 2018, Hilton launched LXR to reach the independent, high-end hotel segment. Parallel to this conquering strategy, the group is committed to developing its commercial weight on this segment as well as new tools to seduce owners and draw them into the Hilton adventure.
