Louvre Hotels Group's brand announced the opening of six new properties on the territory in 2014.

Golden Tulip accelerated growth in France in 2014. By the end of the year the brand by Louvre Hotels Group will have opened six new properties on the territory under the brands Golden Tulip and Tulip Inn: the Tulip Inn Residence in Lille in March (36 apartments), the Golden Tulip in Reims in April (42 rooms), the Tulip Inn Reunion Island in September (65 rooms), the Tulip Inn residence in Massy Palaiseau in October (125 apartments), the Golden Tulip Via Massalia in Marseille in November (140 rooms) and the Golden Tulip Nantes Carquefou Suites in November (99 rooms).

2014 will also have been the year of renovations for Golden Tulip in Aix-les-Bains with 101 rooms and the laying of the first stone for the Golden Tulip Euromed in Marseille for 210 rooms, scheduled to open in 2016.

Since its operational merger with Louvre Hotels Group three years ago, the brand Golden Tulip more than doubled its supply in France, growing its portfolio to 16 hotels from 7 previously. The development of brands should continue in the years to come with secured projects such as Golden Tulip Marseille Chanot, the Golden Tulip in Pornic and the Golden Tulip Montpellier Saint Roch.

"Since we announced our goal to strengthen the Golden Tulip brands network on French territory, we have observed strong demand on the upscale segment in French cities and in Paris. Golden Tulip's unique positioning that unites know-how, prime locations and the quality standards of the biggest international hotel chains has attracted many investors who chose to join Louvre Hotels Group," declared Christophe Novellon, Dzvelopment Manager France.

On, January 1, 2014, Golden Tulip was the 73rd global brand in terms of rooms according to the classification realized each year by MKG Hospitality, hospitality consulting firm founded by Georges Panayotis. The chain had 156 hotels and 23,319 rooms internationally. (Read our report)
