The hotel chain currently has sixty or so projects for openings worldwide, twenty of which are expected to open their doors in the next two years.
After inaugurating more than ten hotels and resorts in the last three years, Four Seasons is strengthening its international presence with sixty or so properties in its pipeline. "
Our development strategy is based on the recognition of the best sites and on a collaboration with the most appropriate partners. Given that we are a hotel management firm, it is capital for us to identify the owners and investors that share our values and long-term vision, while being able to grow at our side," declared J. Allen Smith, CEO Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Over the next two years several hotels should open: a luxury resort within the Walt Disney World complex in Orlando, Florida, a second hotel in Russia, several properties in the Middle East, particularly in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, as well as hotels in India. The group also foresees making a foray into Korea, through the city of Seoul.
"
We have decided to adopt a multi-facetted strategy: thus, we are targeting not only destinations our guests wish to discover, but also markets where we wish to establish a local presence in order to introduce Four Seasons to another clientele. We are working in concert with owners, and we strive to constantly improve the positioning of existing properties on the market. To this end we may undertake major renovations, as we recently did in Buenos Aires, at Riyadh and in Las Vegas, or create new spa and restaurant concepts specific to a particular destination," explains Scott Woroch, CEO International Development.
