
For its entry onto the Spanish market, the hotel group chose the Balearic archipelago. It will take over the management of the Dorint Royal Golf Resort & Spa.
Renamed the Steigenberger Golf Resort & Spa Camp de Mar, the hotel has 167 rooms, three restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a meeting room and a spa. The property will be renovated for its conversion to the brand Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts.
On January 1, 2015, Steigenberger was the 19th European hotel group in terms of number of rooms 13,742 in 76 properties through the two brands, Steinbenberger (41 hotels) and InterCityHotel (35 hotels).
