The gastronomy brand and the subsidiary of Compagnie Lebon have decided to create a joint venture company to operate the first Fauchon hotel that will open at 11 place de la Madeleine by 2018.
The two partners plan to create a joint venture for the operation of the property. It will be owned to the tune of 51% by the family holding of M. Ducros, majority shareholder of Fauchon, and 49% by Esprit de France. The latter will provide its expertise in hotel management while the epicurean grocer contributes its renown brand and gastronomic know-how.
The 5-star property, designed by architect Richard Martinet, will occupy 11 place de la Madeleine and have 54 rooms including 22 suites, as well as a Café Fauchon that seats 150. It is scheduled to open at the beginning of 2018.
Owned by the National Bank of Qatar, the future hotel previously accommodated Baccarat. The building's transformation will be carried out by the Vinci group for an investment estimated at 30 to 40 million euros (read our article).
