Positioned on the midscale segment, the lifestyle brand Rove Hotels should have ten hotels in the United Arab Emirates by the year 2020.
A first property has already been scheduled to open in 2015. Currently under construction across from Dubai Mall, the hotel Rove Za'abeel will have 420 rooms on 14 floors. Rooms will measure 26 square meters and about half of them will be communicating. They will be equipped with state of the art technology. The hotel will have an e-concierge and interactive terminals for check-in.
Five other properties are under development in Al Wasl, Port Saeed, Al Jafiliya, Oud Metha and Dubai Marina. Looking further ahead, Emaar Hospitality Group plans to open 10 hotels in Dubai and the region by 2020.
The development of the new brand will make it possible to meet growing demand on Dubai's market as the World Expo 2020 approaches. The Emirate set a goal to reach an annual arrivals figure of more than 20 million by then.
