Eko Atlantic

Challenging Dubai's or Abu Dhabi's ambitions, the city of Lagos, Nigeria, is currently developing a mega urban development project: Eko Atlantic, a new city is rising out of the water and will include a series of hotels as well as residential and commercial space.

Eko Atlantic is an urban development project currently under construction in Lagos, Nigeria. Developed on an artificial island of 10 million square meters, crossed by a 30 meter wide waterway, this new coastal city aims to reduce real estate shortage and make Lagos the new economic capital of Africa as well as an attractive destination for tourism.

Challenging the ambitions of the cities of Dubai or Abu Dhabi, Eko Atlantic will include commercial and residential space with a capacity of 400,000 units, as well as many hotels, including a four-star 500-key property. It is expected to host 250,000 residents once completed, and is financed by a subsidiary of the African conglomerate Chagoury Group.
