
Hilton has just announced the opening of a new wing for its property Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai, located south of the country, near the South China Sea.
This extension will bring 218 more rooms to the hotels' overall capacity, including 122 suites and 31 apartments, with sea, garden or mountain views. Three dining outlets are also part of the development, as well as a fitness centre, an outdoor pool, and basketball, badminton, tennis and volleyball courts.
In addition, business travelers will have access to more than 1,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom measuring 324-square feet, two meeting rooms, and a 564-square foot garden.
"Hilton is strengthening its footprint across China in locations that appeal to both business and leisure travelers," reported Qian Jin, Area President, Greater China & Mongolia, Hilton, who revealed the figure of "more than 270 hotels in [their] pipeline" to illustrate Hilton's ambitions in China.
As of January 1, 2017, Hilton Worldwide ranked 2nd hotel group worldwide with 4,875 properties and 796,440 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
