Three hotels have joined the hotel group’s new upscale brand: one in London, one in Edinburgh and one in Kuwait. Some were previously operated under the Missoni brand.
The announcement was made by Wolfgang M. Neumann, P-dg of Rezidor during the Arabian Hotel Investment conference: "We are delighted to welcome three iconic hotels to Quorvus Collection, our latest luxury brand. Each property has its own unique style, personality and heritage with one essential factor at the core - a five-star luxury hotel experience."
The May Fair Hotel is a boutique hotel owned and operated by Edwardian Group London. Opened in 1927, it has 404 rooms, including 12 suites, and is home to the May Fair Theatre and the May Fair Spa. The G&V Royal Mile Hotel Edinburgh has 136 rooms located at the heart of the city and decorated in the colors of the designer Rosita Missoni. Finally, the Symphony Style Hotel Kuwait is located in the Symphony complex in Salmiya and has 169 rooms, in a modern 18-floor building.
"These three unique hotels lay a strong foundation for the further development of Quorvus Collection. The Edinburgh and Kuwait hotels will join the Quorvus Collection immediately, and we anticipate The May Far joining the collection later in the summer of 2014. We aim to grow a global portfolio of 20 hotels in operation and under development by 2020 through conversions and newly built urban hotels and resorts," added Wolfgang M. Neumann.
The name Quorvus Collection takes its inspiration from the Corvus constellation which includes the five brightest stars in the sky. The hotels that are members of the Quorvus Collection are historic landmarks, contemporary residences, classic boutiques and urban retreats - all different in scale, architecture, ambiance and design, yet committed to the same, unparalleled service.
