Exe Danube budapest

The Spanish consortium Hotusa is strengthening its presence in Hungary and has announced the opening of a property in Budapest operated by the independent chain Exe Hotels.

The Exe Danube Budapest is located in the center of the city in Pest, near Andrassy Avenue and Deak Square. This 101-room upscale property offers a bar and a restaurant. It is operated by the independent chain Exe Hotels, a brand that targets mostly business clientele. It is the first property operated by this chain in Budapest and the sixteenth in the Hotusa network in this destination.

The Hungarian capital, born out of the merge of Buda, Pest and in 1873 saw hotel activity grow this year. In the first eleven months of the year Budapest posted a RevPAR up by +9.1% with respect to the same period last year, according to data from the MKG Consulting Observatory / OlaKala_Destinations.

The Spanish group Hotusa has two divisions: hotel and tourism. In 2005, it created the chain Eurostars Hotels that brings together a collection of upscale urban properties; the chain is currently established on most European markets and in the United States, Mexico and Argentina. The group then created a second chain: Exe Hotels, present in ten countries. As of January 1, 2016, this operator ranked 97th among hotel groups with 83 properties for a total of 9,291 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
