In 2014 the hotel group plans to expand its presence in the region by opening eight hotels in Saudi Arabia and a property in Qatar.

At the Arabian Travel Market exhibition, ATM 2014, Best Western will showcase its ongoing projects in the Middle East. In 2014, the hotel group plans to accelerate its development in the region, particularly on Saudi and Qatari markets.

Best Western is about to open eight new hotels in Saudi Arabia, through the development of its three brands: Best Western, Best Western Plus and Best Western Premier. It will thus début at new destinations such as Al Qassim, Al Ahsa, Jeddah, Dammam, Al Jubail, Hayel and Jizan, and will return to the capital of the country Riyadh. The group already operates two properties in the country, in the cities of Al Khobar and Makkah.

In Qatar, Best Western has just signed a major agreement with the company Sphinex Hotels & Resorts to develop its brands in the country. The partners will launch their first project during the third quarter of the year 2014.

"Since last year's show we have grown rapidly, opening the first ever Best Western hotels in Kuwait and Makkah, and signing a major development agreement in Qatar. In the coming months we look forward to expanding our Middle Eastern footprint even further, especially in the Saudi Arabia," declared Glenn de Souza, VP International Operations Asia and Middle East for Best Western.
