Groupe Annie Famose has announced its partnership with Extendam for the acquisition of the Radisson Blu hotel in Biarritz, located between the city center and the ocean. It will manage the hotel and offer a new dining and bar experience on the rooftop, named "Le Plongeoir", to be inaugurated in mid-July.
The hotel has 150 rooms, 2 restaurants, a 1,000m2 rooftop with swimming pool, a spa and 9 seminar rooms over 10,000m2. Major renovations are planned for the 2024/2025 winter season to revitalize all rooms and common areas.
Headed by Annie Famose, former world slalom champion and two-time Olympic medallist, the group operates in two sectors: ski equipment rental (through Skiset, Skimium and Go Sport Montagne) and the hotel business, with some 40 addresses including locations in Saint-Tropez, Biarritz, Megève, Courchevel, Avoriaz and Saint-Barthélemy.
Already owner of the 4-star Café de Paris hotel in Biarritz, Annie Famose Group has joined forces with Extendam, a French investment fund specializing in the hotel industry, which manages a portfolio of 300 hotels in France and Europe. This acquisition marks Extendam's first foray into the Basque country, with the purchase of a 4-star hotel located close to the main national and international access points (train station, airport). This acquisition was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Genefim (a subsidiary of Société Générale) and Arkéa Bank.
