The new entity Accor HotelService Afrique will be established in Casablanca and will accompany the strategy of the hotel group on the African continent.

Accor has announced the opening of its African subsidiary in the city of Casablanca, in Morocco. Called Accor HotelService Afrique, its purpose of this hub will be to centralize the group's African network operations and development through franchise and management contracts, essentially in French-speaking Africa, but also in English speaking areas such as South Africa and outside the continent, on the islands of Reunion, Mauritius and Madagascar.

"We have always believed in Africa as a continent for growth and today we are achieving even better growth through this new installation. The African continent represents 10% of Accor's hotel supply whereas five years ago, it was 4%. This growth will continue in the coming years," declared Antoine Guego, general manager of the Moroccan headquarters, during a press conference at the Sofitel Tour Blanche in Casablanca.

Morocco is Accor's number one market in Africa with a network of 33 Accor hotels in 12 cities. Accor is present in 12 countries in Africa and 92 worldwide.
