Accor is reinforcing its presence in Saudi Arabia. The group is partnering with the local developer Omar Kassem Alesayi Group to develop ten new properties at the destination by 2018.
As a first step, the two entities have signed a management contract to open three hotels under the ibis brand. These will be two properties in the city of Jeddah, of respectively 200 and 300 rooms and a 194 room hotel in Riyadh.
Today, the Accor group has a portfolio of 13 hotels in Saudi Arabia, representing 3,167 rooms: including one Sofitel, two Pullman, two Novotel, six Mercure, one Suite Novotel and one ibis.
