AccorHotel announces the opening of a hotel operated under the Novotel brand in London's new business district: Canary Wharf, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
The ambitious project for London Canary Wharf hotel is becoming real and represents a £90 million investment. This upscale hotel settles in the new Canary Wharf Business District. It occupies a 39-storey building and offers 313 rooms including 26 suites. The hotel offers nine meeting rooms, three restaurants (including one with a panoramic view), a coffee shop and a swimming pool.
Thomas Dubaere, Managing Director of AccorHotels UK & Ireland declared: “Canary Wharf will be the iconic Novotel for AccorHotels UK & Ireland and aims to become the place to be in the Canary Wharf business area. Joining a network of 33 Novotels in the UK, this unique hotel is a shining example of our ambition to create innovative, guest-focused, sustainable accommodations that cater to the changing needs of the modern-day guest as well as providing first-rate services for the local population.”
As a reminder, AccorHotels confirmed its plans across the Chanel in March 2016. The group announced a 200-million-euro investment through the development of five hotels in Great Britain. As of January 1st 2016, AccorHotels ranked first hotel group in Europe with 2,604 hotels totaling 282,814 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
