Marriott International group has just announced the opening in 2017 of two new hotels under the Residence Inn brand in London.
Residence Inn London - London Bridge will be located on Long Lane in Southwark, close to several tourist sites such as Tower Bridge and St. Paul's Cathedral. The hotel will offer 87 suites, and will open in the second quarter of 2017. Residence Inn London - Kensington will be located on Warwick Road in Earls Court, near the Kensington Olympia Exhibition Center. It will have 307 suites and will open at the end of the year. Both hotels will have functional kitchens in their suites, as well as work areas. They will also provide a fitness room and free breakfasts.
Residence Inn, specialized in long-term stays, expects to double its European portfolio in 2017 with two additional openings in Aberdeen and Amsterdam. As of January 1, 2016, Residence Inn ranked 27th largest hotel chain in the world, with 697 properties and 85,129 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
