Nobu Hospitality goes to London

The hotel group Nobu Hospitality has announced its first property in Europe with the development of a unit in the Shoreditch neighborhood of East London. It should open its doors in 2017.

Nobu Hospitality will soon have an address on Willow Street, in London. The United Kingdom is currently experiencing strong growth in tourism, and the sector does not appear to be suffering too much from Brexit. The development of Nobu Shoreditch will be through a management contract with Willlow Corp Sarl, the owner of the walls, and Meir Abutbul, the boutique-hotels developer. The property will offer 150 rooms on five floors, several meeting rooms, a ballroom, a fitness center and a restaurant with menus created by the chef Nobu Matsuhisa. It is the third Nobu restaurant in the capital.

Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality declared: "Nobu Shoreditch in London is the first European unit in our portfolio, joining our addresses in the Americas, the Middle East and Asia."

Nobu Hospitality was founded by the Chef Nobu Matsuhisa together with actor Robert de Niro. Since 2013, the operator has had one hotel in Las Vegas (189 rooms) and an address in Manilla since 2015 (321 rooms). One unit should open by the end of the year in Miami: Nobu Hotel Eden Roc. Other properties are under development in Chicago, Riyad, Bahreïn and Cabo San Lucas (in Mexico).
