Marriott Hotels debuts in Bonn

The American group prepares to open in the former capital of West Germany: the Marriott Bonn World Conference Hotel is slated to debut in June 2016.

Marriott Hotels continues to develop Europe-wide and recently announced the upcoming opening of the Bonn Marriott World Conference Hotel. This 19,000m² property will have 336 rooms including 30 suites and two presidential suites, as well as a fitness center and a 1,500m² spa built around historic Roman ruins. It will boast a rooftop restaurant on the 17th floor with panoramic views over the Rhine and the city. Three private dining areas are available on the top floor for events and meetings, the hotel offers 662m² of conference and banquet space.

Marriott International, 10th hotel group in the European Union in terms of rooms in 2015, will climb to fourth position this year after integrating Starwood Hotels & Resorts' 33,009 rooms in the continent. The hotel industry's most significant operation in recent memory, the merger enables the operator to boast a 82,845-room portfolio throughout Europe as of January 2016, according to data published by MKG Consulting.
