Marrakech: The Royal Palm Beachcomber to become a Fairmont Hotel

In May, the former Royal Palm Beachcomber, located on the Haouz Plain, close to Marrakech will pass under the group's upscale brand: Fairmont.

AccorHotels has announced the signing of a hotel management agreement with the New Mauritius Hotels Limited Company (whose headquarters are located in Mauritius) involving the conversion of a mixed use property including a five-star hotel and a couple of residences. The hotel is located 12 kilometers from Marrakech, on the Haouz Plain, within an olive grove. It will offer 134 rooms, 11 villas and 94 residences (of two to four bedrooms). It will also offer four restaurants and lounges, an 18-hole golf course, a health club and a swimming pool. Apartments ranging from 200 to 500 square meters are currently under development within the Fairmont Royal Residences and the Fairmont Royal Palms Estates.

AccorHotels has a 37-hotel portfolio in Morocco and 70 hotels worldwide under the Fairmont brand. This opening follows the group’s growth strategy for the brand which has also recently opened the Fairmont Quasar Istanbul, the Fairmont Chengdu and the Fairmont Fujairah in the Middle East. Three hotels will open their doors by the end of the year in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and in the United States of America, totaling 1,663 rooms.
