Manhattan hosts a fifth Four Points by Sheraton hotel

The hospitality group Marriott International has just announced the opening of its fifth hotel under its Four Points by Sheraton brand in Manhattan.

The Four Points Manhattan Midtown West Hotel has just opened in New York. It is the brand's fifth hotel to open its doors on the Manhattan peninsula. The hotel, which is being developed in collaboration with Real Hospitality, is located near the Hudson Yards (a growing district of Hell's Kitchen), the Madison Square Garden and the Empire State Building. The unit offers its guests 148 rooms, a fitness centre, a business centre, a restaurant and a beer bar.

Marriott International is aiming to increase the number of rooms in the Four Points brand portfolio by 60% over the next five years. Moreover, the group is developing several hotels across the United States. As of January 1, 2016, the new group consisting of Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts is the leading hotel operator worldwide, with 5,640 hotels totaling 1,108,852 rooms worldwide, according to data published by Hospitality-On.
