London: renovations at the Hyatt Regency - The Churchill

The Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill adds six new rooms and three new meeting and events spaces to its supply, after partial closing for renovations.

The Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill just announced the end of works to partially renovate the property (financed in part by the Churchill family) to create new rooms, meeting spaces and spaces to host events. The property is located in London's West End, near Hyde Park and the shopping streets Oxford Street and Bond Street.

The hotel will have six new rooms, for a total of 440. Renovations have also made it possible to create three new rooms for seminars in addition to eleven existing ones for a total capacity of 350.

"We are thrilled to have completed the hotel's multi-million pound refurbishment, and we are looking forward to welcoming new and returning guests. It was an honor to work so closely with Churchill's family to bring to life the character and history of the hotel's namesake and we are delighted with the results," said Arnaud de Saint-Exupery, area vice president for Hyatt in the United Kingdom and Ireland and hotel general manager. "At Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill, we are proud to offer business and leisure travelers alike the perfect place in which to work or relax in one of the world's most iconic cities."

As of January 1, 2016, Hyatt Hotels Corporation ranked 12th operator worldwide in terms of number of rooms, with 605 properties for a total of 161,737 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
