Leonardo Hotels, European subsidiary of Fattal Hotels Group, is set to open its third hotel in Madrid. The Gran Atlanta hotel will officialy become part of the Leonardo portfolio on Friday, September 30.
According to Daniel Roger, Managing Director Europe for Leonardo Hotels: "Our multiple hotel strategy in important European cities and the synergies connected to that form the basis for our success. Naturally, the prime location and potential of the property were also crucial. Five hotels on the marketplace, two in Barcelona and three in Madrid — and this in such a short time — support our attractive hotel offerings. Now we can further expand and strengthen our presence in Spain. Additional expansion in Spain and other European locations will be taking place soon."
Fattal Hotels started expanding internationally in 2005, including significant investments in European properties. Its subsidiary Leonardo Hotels was launched in 2007 in Germany with headquarters located in Berlin. The hotel brand is now present across ten major European destinations, especially in Germany (19 cities) and Belgium (4 cities). The brand also operates properties in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, London, Milan, Vienna, and Zurich. Leonardo Hotels ranked as the 40th largest hotel chain in the European Union in terms of rooms, with 54 properties totaling 8,944 rooms as of January 2016, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
