IHG Group has announced the signing of four new properties in the region, including one in Indonesia and three in Vietnam.
IHG Group has announced the signing of four new properties in Southeast Asia, one on the Indonesian island of Bali, two others close to Sapa, Vietnam, and the last in Phu Quoc, a major tourist destination in Vietnam.
The Kimpton Bali, developed in partnership with Ownco, will have 50 villas in a traditional setting, designed to complement the surroundings. The city of Sapa, Vietnam, will be home to the Intercontinental Sapa Resort (200 rooms and villas) and the Holiday Inn Resort Sapa (275 rooms), both developed in partnership with Alphanam Investment Joint Stock Company. Finally, Phu Quoc, an island located at the southwestern tip of the country, will host its first Hotel Indigo in 2021. The hotel will have several swimming pools and a bar.
As of January 2017, IHG ranked as the world's third largest hotel operator, with 5,174 properties totaling 767,135 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
