Fraser pursues growth in Southeast Asia

In keeping with its growth strategy Southeast Asia, Fraser Hospitality Group (division of Fraser Centrepoint Limited) will open Fraser Suites Kuningan this year in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Fraser Suites Kuningan will be the group's fourth property top open in Jakarta. With five other units under development, the operator's portfolio in the Indonesian capital should have 9 residences in 2019. This new 210-apartment property offering hotel services (studio to 4-room) will be part of Ciputra World 2 Jakarta, a mixed-use building in the city's "Golden Triangle". located near the Business district and cultural centers the property offers meeting spaces, a spa, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a private library, a bar a well as a lounge. This operation is part of the development strategy of Frasers Hospitality which would like to grow to a portfolio of 1,500 keys in Jakarta in 2019.

"Avec With a strong estimated growth rate of 5.3% for 2017, Indonesia continues to be of strategic significance to the group's global plans and we seek to further expand across key regions and secondary cities in the country such as Bali, Bandung, Medan, Surabaya and Yogyakarta," declared Choe Peng Sum, CEO of Frasers Hospitality Group.

Frasers Hospitality Group began development in the city of Jakarta with the opening of Fraser Residence Sudirman (108 rooms) in 2011 and more recently Fraser Residence Menteng (128 keys) in 2014 and Fraser Place Setiabudi (150 rooms) in 2016. Frasers Hospitality operates its properties under the Fraser Suites, Fraser Place, Fraser Residence, Modena by Fraser and Capri by Fraser brands. As of January 1, 2016, the Singaporean group ranked 89th hotel group worldwide in terms of capacity, with 61 properties for a total of 10,510 rooms according to data published by Hospitality ON.
