Four Seasons set to open in 2018 in downtown Montreal

Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts announced plans to build a new hotel and private residence in downtown Montreal. The Canadian group is partnerning with Carbonleo, a Quebec-based property development and management company.

The new property will be located in the Golden Mile Square, near Montreal's Old Port and business district. Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts partnered with local group Carbonleo to develop the hotel project, whose cost is estimated at 250 million dollars. Part of a luxury mixed-use development, the hotel will offer 163 rooms and 18 private residences. The property will feature event spaces, three restaurants, a spa, a fitness center as well as a swimming pool. It will be connected to the Ogilvy's department store.

Four Seasons Hotel Montreal will join the group's portfolio of hotels across Canada, including the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler (273 rooms), Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver (372 rooms) and Four Seasons Hotel Toronto (259 rooms). The Canadian hotel group ranked as the 49th largest hotel group worldwide in terms of number of rooms with 101 properties totaling 21,755 rooms as of January 2016, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
