Curio Collection by Hilton settles in the Netherlands

Curio Collection settles in the Netherlands with the signing of this former nineteenth-century monastery and confirms development in Europe. The hotel, which is currently in rehabilitation, is expected to open by 2020.

The Hilton Group's collection has signed a management agreement with the companies Gelasius Vastgoedmaatschappij B.V and Service Hotel and Resort International B.V. to open the Monastery Hotel Koningsbosch.

The 100-room hotel will benefit as much from its exceptional heritage as from its strategic position, between Germany, Belgium and France. Patrick Fitzgibbon, Senior Vice President, Development, EMEA, Hilton, confirmed that "the Netherlands continues to develop its potential as a tourist destination."

The Monastery Hotel Koningsbosch also has a restaurant and a bar. With this signing, the Curio Collection will be the sixth Hilton brand in the Netherlands.

As of January 1, 2017, Hilton Worldwide is the 2nd largest hotel group in the world, with 4,875 properties totaling 796,440 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
