Radisson Red, the boutique hotel brand of the group Carlson Rezidor will soon open in India.
"The economic outlook is optimistic and the demand for rooms in India has been growing by double-digit percentages over the past decade and this is expected to continue for the next few years. Domestic travel is growing and international arrivals are on the increase," declared Thorsten Kirschke, President, Asia Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. "Radisson Red offers a differentiated guest experience, with lower construction and operating costs than traditional upscale hotels. Radisson Red also gives owners the flexibility to customize the specifics to cater to the unique demands of each locale."
Radisson Red should open in destinations such as Bombay, New Delhi, Jaipur and Goa. Carlson Rezidor has set a goal to reach a portfolio of 60 hotels Radisson Red worldwide by the year 2020, half of which in the Asia-Pacific region.
On January 1, 2015, Carlson Rezidor was the third hotel group worldwide in terms of number of rooms 172,234 units in 1092 properties according to MKG Hospitality, consulting firm founded by Georges Panayotis. (read our article)
