Best Western expands in Pakistan

Best Western Hotels & Resorts has opened its first ever hotel in the city of Faisalabad, Pakistan. Its third property in the country.

The new Best Western Faisalabad Hotel, which welcomed its first guests on January 1st 2016, is located in the Punjabi city's central business district. The property features 30 rooms, the Cube restaurant, and several meeting rooms for corporate guests.

"As Pakistan's third most populous city, Faisalabad is an important economic hub for both local and international business travelers," said Ron Pohl, Best Western's Senior Vice President of Brand Management. "But despite its size, Faisalabad still has a shortage of high quality international-standard hotel rooms."

Best Western Faisalabad Hotel becomes the company's third hotel in Pakistan, following existing properties in Lahore and Islamabad. Today, Best Western operates close to 4,000 properties worldwide - more then half of which are in North America. According to data published by MKG Hospitality, the company, based in Phoenix, Arizona, is the eighth hotel group worldwide, operating more than 300,000 rooms.
