Barceló Hotel Group enters the Polish market

The Spanish group has just acquired its first hotel in Poland. It will open in Warsaw in 2021.

Close to the capital's city centre, this new 4-star, 150-room property will be located in a former power station, the Elektrownia Powiśle, which will be transformed to offer a selection of restaurants and shops on site. The hotel, with a total surface area of 7,350 m², will also include a conference area and a rooftop bar overlooking the Vistula.

Jaime Buxó, Business Development Director of the Barceló Hotel Group, explained the reasons for this new destination:

The hotel's privileged location, in the most dynamic area of the city in terms of culture, fits perfectly with the Barceló Hotel Group's objectives of opening new hotels in the most attractive destinations and is an important proof of our growth strategy as we expand worldwide.

The Barceló Hotel Group is part of the Barceló Group, founded in 1931 by Simón Barceló on the island of Mallorca (Spain). As of January 1, 2019, the hotel group has a portfolio of 251 hotels with a total of 55,670 rooms
