Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa, located in Dubai, joins Marriott International's Autograph Collection. It is the first property by the brand in the Middle East.
The resort will also have a new Consultant General Manager, Rick Zeolla who previously ran Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino in Egypt for five years. He will take the helm of a property with 446 rooms and suites with three swimming pools, a spa, a fitness room and ten meeting rooms measuring a total of 1,992m². The property will also have five restaurants: the Luciano's (Italian cuisine), the Fish Bazaar (Thai cuisine), the Al Barsha (Middle Eastern cuisine), The Grand Grill Steakhouse Dubai (barbecue) and finally the Al Dhiyafa Grand Kitchen (international cuisine).
On January 1, 2014, Marriott International was the third hotel group worldwide in terms of rooms, with 653,719 units in 3783 hotels (data from MKG Hospitality, consulting firm founded by Georges Panayotis). (Read our report)
