Arora Group to develop another 300-room hotel at Heathrow T2

Arora Group, whose portfolio now includes six hotels located near the major airports of the British capital, is set to launch a new hotel project at Heathrow T2.

Arora Group has announced that it has been granted planning permission to launch a third hotel project at London Heathrow. The 298-room property, including a bar and restaurant, will be the first to be located in the Central Terminal Area. The group is in detailed talks regarding potential partnership to operate the hotel. Arora Hotels is currently developing two additional properties in the vicinity: the addresses Crowne Plaza London Heathrow Terminal 4 (300 rooms) and Holiday Inn Express London - Heathrow Terminal 4 (455 rooms), both slated to open in 2018. With more than a thousand new bedrooms in the pipeline for Arora Group alone, supply at London Heathrow is set to increase substantially in the next few years.

Arora Hotels, a division established in 1999, has become a leading operator of London's hotel landscape. The group currently operates a portfolio of eight hotels in the United Kingdom. Three of them are located near Heathrow airport (operated under the brands Sofitel, Renaissance and Holiday Inn), two near Gatwick airport (Sofitel London Gatwick and Arora Hotel Gatwick Crawley), not to mention the Hilton London Stansted. The group's flagship operates in the capital itself, with the recent opening of the 453-room InterContinental London - The O2 at the center of the Greenwich Peninsula.
