Kerzner International is segmenting its One&Only brand; the eco-responsible offshoot arrives in Africa

The upscale resorts group Kerzner International announces the launch of One & Only Nature Resorts, One & Only Urban Resorts and One & Only Private Homes brands. Two properties currently under development in Rwanda will adopt the One & Only Nature Resorts brand, which requires meeting specific social and environmental responsibility criteria.

Kerzner International group, operator of One&Only, Atlantis and Mazagan brands,  is expanding its portfolio and segmenting its One & Only brand with the launch of the One & Only Urban Resorts, One & Only Private Homes and One & Only Nature Resorts.

All the One & Only Nature Resorts properties will be designed to fit into the natural environment in which they are located, both in terms of architecture and their impact on nature. In these properties, the group aims in particular at obtaining the CarbonZero label, successfully obtained by the Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley in Australia, the first property of the group to be certified. In addition to this ecological dimension, One & Only Nature Resorts will have a culinary offer based on organic, seasonal and regional products and will offer an immersive experience in the local culture of the country.

Two new One & Only Nature Resorts are currently under development in Rwanda in Africa:

- One & Only Nyungwe House is located in Gisakura, a tea plantation near the Nyungwe National Park, one of the oldest forests in Africa with numerous mammal species. It will offer both modern and traditional design and will welcome its first customers in the course of 2017.

- One & Only Gorilla's Nest is located next to the village of Kingi in a Eucalyptus forest at the foot of the the Virunga volcanic chain, known for its mountain gorillas. The hotel features a fitness center and a spa offering treatments using traditional African elements.
