
Fledgling Z Hotels, currently operating in London and Liverpool, has acquired a site to expand over England's borders into Glasgow, Scottland.
The budget Z Hotels was founded 18 months ago by two former Thistle employees, with current sites in London and Liverpool. With its latest acquisition of the former Old Printworks pub, the chain can now expand into Scotland.The former Old Printworks pub, near Glasgow’s George Square, was closed in 2009, and then sold to several different parties in succession. Z Hotels bought it for an undisclosed amount, although it had been on the market for offers over £700,000.
