
Starwood Hotels & Resorts is launching its first W branded hotel in the Netherlands and has announced the opening of the W Amsterdam for autumn 2015. Owned by STAG Europe, the property is located on Dam Square, in the heart of the city, and will offer 169 rooms, including 10 suites and one Extreme Wow suite. It will also offer 480 square meters of meeting space, a W Living Room, a fitness center, and a business center."Following the renovation and refurbishment of this landmark building, W Amsterdam will be a vibrant and energetic destination where guests and locals get together to mix, mingle and engage," said Bram van der Hoek, Regional Managing Director of Europe Hotels Private Collection, owner-representative for STAG Europe (Grafenau) BV.After locating the brand in Istanbul, Barcelona, Saint-Petersburg, London, Paris and Verbier, the W Amsterdam will be the seventh W branded hotel in Europe and will join a portfolio of 45 W properties worldwide.
