Swissôtel is expanding in China with the brand's fifth hotel in the country, sixth under development. The Swissôtel Hangzhou is slated to open in 2018 with 400 guestrooms. Facilities will include four dining outlets, a Spa & Sport center, and about 2,000 square meters of events space. The hotel will be located in the same development as a Swissôtel Living property with 400 serviced apartments. "As one of China's top urban centers and a key coastal hub, Hangzhou is an ideal market for our Swissôtel product", says Jennifer Fox, president at parent company FRHI International. "The local economy continues to grow at a rapid pace and the destination is also a top draw for leisure travel given its reputation as one of China's most beautiful cities".
