
InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a long-term management agreement with Al-Khorayef & Sons Co. for third property of the brand in Saudi Arabia. The agreement will also see the brand's introduction to the city of Al Khobar.Staybridge Suites Al Khobar will offer 189 rooms to meet rising demand for extended stay lodgings as the city becomes a major business center in the country. It will open as part of a mixed-use development with many retail outlets. This announcement fortifies IHG's position as the largest international hotel group in Saudi Arabia, both by number of hotels and rooms."With five properties currently in Al Khobar, we have a strong presence and in-depth knowledge of the area," says Pascal Gauvin, IHG's COO, Middle East, India and Africa.
