Starwood to manage 3 Al Habtoor hotels in Dubai

Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide will manage three hotels in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to be built by the Dubai-based Al Habtoor Group, according to a joint statement from the companies.

The 1 million-sq-ft (93,000-sq-m) hospitality complex, scheduled to be completed in 2017, will include Dubai’s first St. Regis hotel as well as a W Hotel and a Westin, comprising 1,675 hotel rooms in total.Al Habtoor Group expects to spend US$1.33 billion to build the entire Al Habtoor Palace Complex, which also will include 12 tennis courts, a 500,000-sq-ft (46,452-sq-m) garden, shops, restaurants and a theater.
