
Starwood continues to reinforce its presence in China with the recent opening of the Sheraton Fuzhou Hotel in Fujian Province. The new hotel is to be followed by 12 other Sheraton hotels the group has in its pipeline for this year.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced the opening of the Sheraton Fuzhou Hotel in newly built, modern business district in the capital of Fujian province. The hotel, which is owned by the Zhonggeng Group, is the latest addition to Sheraton’s portfolio of hotels in China. It marks the introduction of the brand to the bustling port city of Fuzhou and is the first international five-star hotel in the area. Sheraton Fuzhou Hotel offers 396 suites and 4,200 square meters of function space.Perceived as a strong-demand market, the brand is hoping to open a further 12 hotels under the Sheraton flag across China by the end of the year. The group is exploring growth opportunities in China’s gateway cities and emerging markets.
