The Sonesta Gwinnett Place, scheduled to come under Sonesta management next month, has opened in Atlanta.

In late May 2013, Sonesta will take over management of what is currently the Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place (pictured) under the Sonesta Gwinnett Place name.The full-service hotel features 426 guest rooms including 15 suites and three concierge floors, housed within a 17-storey building.F&B options include a steakhouse, lounge, and casual dining restaurant.The hotel also offers 18 events rooms for more than 16 000 square feet of space, including the 8 000 square foot Georgia Ballroom for up to 1 000 guests. Amenities include swimming pool, health club, and sundeck.Nearby attractions include the Gwinnett Arena, Lake Lanier, World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium, Zoo Atlanta, Gwinnett Place Mall, Sugarloaf Mills Mall, and the Mall of Georgia.
