As of February 1st, 2014, the current Concorde Berlin hotel will become the Sofitel Berlin Kurfüstendamm. The Accor group's luxury brand signed a management contract to take over management of the establishment, and will bring the 311 rooms and public spaces to brand norms in the first semester of 2014. Sofitel is thus reinforcing its presence in the German capital, where it already has held the Sofitel Berlin Gendarmenmarkt for the past 14 years. The brand network in the entire country also currently includes the Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall and the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost. This portfolio will soon be augmented with the opening of the Sofitel Frankfurt am Alter Oper, expected for 2015. The Concorde Berlin was the group's only Concorde Hotels in Germany, its rebranding coming a few months after that of four of its French establishments now managed by the Hyatt group per a deal made last February (Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, Palais de la Méditerrannée in Nice, Concorde Lafayette and Hôtel du Louvre in Paris).
