Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide plans to open two new hotels next year adjacent to each other in the city of Medina.
Owned by Saudi Brothers Commercial Co., the 297-key Sheraton Medina Hotel and the 178-key Four Points by Sheraton Medina are both scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2012.Starwood operates 10 hotels in Saudi Arabia under the Sheraton, Westin and Le Méridien brands. Sheraton Medina is Starwood's fourth Sheraton hotel in the country joining properties in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.
